Sam Block leads MSCI’s Environmental Social & Governance Ratings of the global Materials Sector and is a senior contributor to its methodology development. He has authored several investment advisory reports on ESG topics such as social license to operate, health and safety, labor and technology and most recently on income inequality. He has a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Ohio State University and an MS in Environmental Management and Planning from the Whiting Engineering School at Johns Hopkins University.
